Regrets of Nothing& Everything of Regrets

by darklyloved

Once Upon a Dream,

I thought I could achieve great things.

But then I woke up on the day of my execution.

I snapped back to reality after falling asleep, crying

non-stop of pain for my love,

whom I caused to die a painful death.

But they needed more bloodshed and chose me.

I couldn't face reality.

I was a personne with high expectations and dreams.

But I never really did anything, did I.

That's a regret that I will mourn in my grave

for all eternity.

The lugubrious emotions that emanate from these verses war exquisitely painful. The despondent nature was like a French 1950s film noir. Your words evoke dark, cold and damp dungeons. Beautiful. Great poem!!!!

This was absolutely beautiful. So dark and filled with so much sadness, it's heartwrenching.
