The Day I Was English

by crobin13

Instead of a frown I will wear a smile instead; no one will know me here, I can be whatever I feel.

The ones I know are far away now, so young, but too experienced in this, second nature could be used to describe the feelings.

How long will I be here this time?

Could this one finally be the place?

New beginnings become old so quickly.

The Classroom door approaches; my heartbeat as a humming birds wings, beating faster as the handle turns.

Who will I be when my mouth opens?
