This is part of a small series I'm starting. I found one of my old books I used to write in when I was about 11-13. This is one out of it.

If only just maybe i had eyes as deep as the ocean were one might gaze and drown willingly Maybe if I had eyes as green as the country grass to remind a lover of his home

How quickly the words will flow from my lips Only to disappear into the air

I want your hand on the small of my back again only to feel your touch for one more second I remember the way you kissed

My feelings are not valid I do not matter in a world with actual people with actual problems

Is it my inability to rhyme as to why I can’t stand myself? I look in the mirror and I don’t see me but a monster in its place
