Thoughts on thankfulness... A subject not normally broached.
Sure, Thanksgiving rolls around and everyone at the table says what they are thankful for.
And yes, these things deserve thanks.
But what about the Everyday?
Sitting in my car, at the end of a long day, what am I truly thankful for? What has happened today that I have cause to thank whatever higher form I look to?
I mean, I certainly didn't win the lottery today.
My feet hurt, I have a migraine, my car won't stop making this weird whining noise, I hardly made any money today, and after the way I've been treated I barley feel acknowledged as human.
What do I have to be thankful for today?
Well, the list is endless really.
I am thankful that I am here, in relatively good health with a job and a car.
I am thankful that I have a nice home to go to at the end of the day.
I am thankful for the chocolate in my fridge and the wine on my counter.
The list goes on.
I am thankful. I am thankful.
I am thankful for the everyday life I have and although there is nothing New in my life to be thankful for, or anything Big to be thankful for...
That does not mean I am not thankful with every bone in my body for what I have.
I am thankful.
