Catacomb Whirlwinds

by chloeblue2

My mind is like a catacomb In more than one respect

In some places it can be dark and cold And otherwise unpleasant

In others it can be considered weird or strange And in some places even surreal

But recently, and I mean quite recently A whirlwind came crashing through

It left me breathless and confused Particularly about you

I've been left wheeling, falling, drowning in thoughts It left me thinking about all of the times that we've fought

I don't know what's left, what's left for me to do I'm unsure of what's to happen between me and you

Though even in my uncertainty And in some cases my denial

I know that it's true I still care about you.

The analogy of catacombs and your brain is creative and draws the reader to the more murky point of view. The word choice is superb. The short stanzas delivered a powerfulmpunch. Good work.
