Like water on the leaves

by CarmenST

This love that once was,

will evaporate like water on the leaves:

little by little, imperceptibly,

until finally drying with the midday sun.

And it will cease to exist serenely,

leaving a pall of nostalgia behind.

@bernardtwindwil thank you! Someday I will try to write a haiku. 😁

This was a very impressive poem. Your metaphors were ethereal. I seem to me to be a cross between haiku and symbolism. I loved it. Great poem!!!!!!!!
