Be A Good Listener.
LISTENING SKILLS. Although you may be asked to sharpen your public speaking skills; listening is an often overlooked essential skill. Take a sincere interest in others. What is their story?
CONFIDENCE. Have the courage to try new things. Discover and embrace your unique abilities. A leader must show courage and confidence to others; even when they don't feel it themselves.
MEET NEW PEOPLE. Leaders must meet new people all the time. Find things in common with the people you meet. When people feel comfortable around you; you will feel comfortable around them.
Vision. Mission. Focus.
CREATE A PLAN. Leaders must have vision in order to persuade others to follow them. Where are you going? How do you get there? What do you need? Who can help? Create a "road map".
VOLUNTEER. Get involved in your community. Giving service to the community will help develop qualities of caring and compassion. Give Back Today. What can you do to help someone in need?
