I was just coloring. That was it. I was coloring, and i heard a quiet thump.

The little girl

I was just coloring. That was it.

I was coloring, and i heard a quiet thump.

I stopped coloring, and put away my stuff, setting it on my nightstand.

It is probably just the cat, i thought to myself.

Then i saw my cat in the other room.

Something is under my bed.

I didn't want to look, but i was just too curious.

I looked under my bed, and what i saw was horrific.

A pale little girl with pitch black hair looked right into my eyes, and started chanting...

Chanting something in another language, i couldn't understand.

She came towards me, crawling.

I got up and tried to run, but the doorway was- it was-

GONE!

There were no windows, no doors, no way to get out.

The dark-haired girl was out from under my bed now, walking towards me.

She was trying to corner me.

I had to get out of there, fast.

But i was cornered already, i couldn't escape.

Then the girl stopped, around six inches away from me. Now that i could see her face clearer, it scared me even more than before.

She looked.... She looked like ME.

Her face was exactly like mine, only...

Better.

She had morphed to look like me.

She had slightly darker skin than mine.

Her hair was a darker brunette than mine, pulled back in a ponytail.

Her eyes, oh, her eyes....

They were a deep sea blue, like the rest of my family, only I had brown.

She was wearing a beautiful pink glitter outfit, with a tank top and a mini skirt.

She had a little purse, also pink and glittery, with a silver stripe through the middle.

She was wearing beautiful pink heels, too.

She was... perfect.

She looked me right in the eye, a salty, angry look, and said:

Nobody loves you.

Strangers, you don't know me.

Enemies, I don't care what you think.

Friends, we aren't friends anymore.

Family, you don't mean that.

But to hear that from MYSELF really hurt my heart.

Through tears, i replied, "You don't really mean that."

She replied, still looking me in the eye, "I do."

Then she vanished out of thin air.

I collapsed to the ground...

And started bawling.

I was alone.

She was right.

Then I woke up.
