Original poem by Brian Barany Everything i donned, was yours at your command,

Misremembered thoughts

Original poem by Brian Barany

Everything i donned, was yours at your command,

All the whispers I understand,

I was tangled in waves, left splashing in the sand,

Still here I stand,

Everything I intended was hushed,

No longer, do I feel so grand,

You were all of my treasures, All of my trinkets,

My whitecaps in the summer sky,

My common courtesy, my sun at moonrise,

It was lengthy, but quick,

Honestly, thinking about us, Makes me sick,

Stings like a needle pricks,

We were always together,

I might misremember,

The flowers were a seal, something like a pact,

Everytime I think of us in fact, I'm taken aback,

Left pale, darkened, mildly withered,

Left confronted by my own demons, for no good reason,

Wounded screaming the loudest,

A shade of what once was the proudest,

All that we had in common,

All that was remembered,

Suddenly gone,

I'm left alone on a brand new voyage,

Everything I despised was imagined,

I was left distanced by my own hand,

Barely able to stand,

But by no choice of my own,

Still, here I am
