Interactive Story Part 11-FINAL PART!!!

IMPORTANT! If you have not read parts 1-10, go read them! Links in comments.

Previously: Danielle, Kailey, and Nathan snuck into one of the yellow houses to go after Perry. They found a secret lab in the basement, as well as Perry's ashes. Then, when it couldn't possibly get any worse, Ms. Cerest showed up.

Now onto the story!

At that moment, Danielle felt like giving up.

She had failed over and over again. She failed the task Perry gave her. She failed to see the signs that he was leaving. She failed to get there in time to rescue him.

And she had failed as a friend. She had ignored Kailey and Nathan all week, then got them dragged into this mess. And now, because of her, they were going to die.

Danielle wiped her tears on her sleeve and stood up. She had to put on her brave face.

"Ms. Cerest, we know what you're doing, and you're not going to get away with it. We're going to expose your true intentions to the public-"

A stream of fire appeared out of nowhere and caught Ms. Cerest full in the face. The flames moved down her body until they had engulfed her entirely.

Danielle followed the flames to the source. Several feet behind her was Kailey. And she was holding a flamethrower.

"Kailey! What are you doing?! Where did you get that?!" Danielle demanded.

"I found it over there!" Kailey waved her hand to the other side of the lab.

"Turn it off!"

Her grin faltered. "I don't know how."

Ms. Cerest ran around the room, shrieking the whole time. Kailey chased her with the flamethrower.

Danielle turned to Nathan. "What do we do?"

He shrugged. "Nothing. Kailey's solving our problem for us."

Danielle smacked his arm. "Wrong answer!"

"Oh, um ok." He paused for a moment. "Stop drop and roll!" he shouted.

Ms. Cerest did not stop, nor did she drop, nor did she roll. By the time Danielle had found a fire extinguisher and hosed her down, her temporary mother had been reduced to ash.

The flamethrower stopped throwing flames. Kailey shook it. "I think it ran out of juice."

Danielle sighed.

-One year later-

Danielle walked down the street after school. Nathan's hand was in hers, and Kailey and Perry walked on either side.

"Are you nervous?" Kailey asked.

"No," Danielle said, teeth chattering.

"Don't be," Nathan assured her.

"What if they aren't the same?"

"It'll be fine. Do you see a difference in Perry? The scientists made him just the way he was before."

"And my parents turned out just fine," Perry added.

Danielle relaxed a little.

"Do you want us to wait for you?" Nathan asked once they reached the yellow house.

Danielle shook her head. "You guys go. I'll be ok."

Kailey gave her a quick hug. "Good luck."

Danielle squeezed her back. "Thanks."

"It'll work out. I promise." Perry patted her shoulder before leaving with Kailey.

It was just her and Nathan standing outside the yellow house.

"What are you waiting for?" he asked her.

Danielle looked down. "I'm not sure."

"Look, after Cerest... disintegrated, all of the evil scientists left. Only the good ones -the ones who were against the reborn program- stayed. Only the good ones worked on them. And you get to actually live with them, instead of this scheduled visiting nonsense."

"I know."

Nathan grabbed her hand and pulled her to him. He wrapped his arms around her and planted a light kiss on the top of her head.

"Will you come in with me?" she said into his t-shirt.

He looked down at her. "Of course. Are you ready?"

Hand in hand, they walked inside.

"Danielle! We've been expecting you. Right this way." The receptionist led them down a hallway and stopped outside a door. He knocked, then opened it.

Two people sat on the couch. They stood up when they saw who was standing in the doorway.

Danielle let go of Nathan's hand and rushed towards them.

"Mom! Dad!" she yelped as they squeezed her.

"We're so proud of you," her father said with a smile.

And at that moment, Danielle knew that everything was right.

Ok I was looking for a picture of a couch for that last scene and I found this picture and... look at it.

Look at how beautiful it is.

I thought it was so perfect that I had to share it with you guys.

And that's a wrap! Ok first of all THANK YOU to everyone who read and voted on this. It was soooo much fun to write, and I hope you guys had fun reading and voting :) Thank you to @stitchastory for handing this over to me and showing me that I can handle longer stories! It was a great experience.

I hope you guys liked the way it turned out. I was not expecting you all to vote for the flame thrower, but I was secretly hoping you would. Have a great day Dumbledorks! -Mari <3
