How about I take you somewhere? To the beach or to a cliff if you so desire.
Now look out. What do you percieve?
I will tell you my thoughts, then you can make out yours.
There is a certain feeling I get, when I am next to wide open waters. Whether an ocean, lake or just a tiny river it calms me down.
The sound of water flowing, hitting breakers or trying to play with a petty boat in its hands. I makes me at ease.
It smoothes the ridges of the day and lets my mind go and be free in the space above its waves.
But there is a catch that I see amongs the many. It all depends on one’s experience, one’s knowledge.
I know a few who hate the waters. They get scared of the depth and width of its domain, and why, I don’t blame them.
From a young age I have found my peace in water, swam from a young age and had fun with the waves.
I pity those who have had a bad impression old man sea. He is quite a character. He may have nearly drowned you or some close ones. He may have cost you a house or may have ruined your life.
Maybe it is just the unknown which scares the imagination.
I am not the one to judge. I can see the worry, and I will not ruin their world if that is so.
For me water is something one has to agree with. If you’re careful and you know what’s what about it, why, it will leave you be.
I have had some trouble, some bad experiences, somehow those did not sway my love for the fluid. I learned to respect it and be prepared.
The rain has sympathized my losses.
The flow of water has calmed my temper.
I think you get the message; I just find it soothing.
So I invite you aboard, we can have a drink, feel the rocking of the waves, see the creatures of the deep while conquering the games of old man sea.
But be prepared, did I say that it is easy?
