And thus summer ends

Really glad to have successfully finished my summer project on here.

Lotus

Strands of crystalline water weave as they flow into a lake, A relic of thoughts that plagued a sane mind when it wasn't awake, Nightmares that were kept sealed away in the flower of a solitary lotus, The one which was this summer garden's focus.

But summer shrivels and along with it everything dies, All the flowers and pieces of thoughts scatter like flies, And get swatted down by Autumn's withered embrace, And along with them perish my will and the dreams you started to chase.

The lotus opens one last time, and it's contents spill in waves Nightly terrors fill the air, and the stream suddenly misbehaves, It stops dead and drains in thin air,and the land cracks in dryness And such everything bowed down in death to Autumn, it's highness.
