Such a perfect morning. My favourite time. I’m not sure why it made me think of dying. But it’s how I’d like to be remembered.

After the Rain

Remember me in the morning With last night’s rain dripping from grateful trees And the sun peeking out From tired clouds

Remember me in the mist Clinging to a still lake And in the dew on bright June grass

Remember me in lilacs and apple blossoms In the hush after the storm And in the quiet promise of a new day

While the mourning dove calls A benediction
