I hopped off the bus and looked down the road. Dust was floating as the bus started to roll away. I looked to my right and saw the greenery. I threw my pack on the ground and bolted for the forest kicking up dust. The dirt road seemed to go forever on the flat scenery.
I looked around and plopped myself down on the ground. There wasn’t a care in the world.
All around me shadows grew and I was submerging into the forest. Everything around me was alive. I stopped and listened to the silence. It was magical. I don’t understand why I feel a connection with the outdoors. Maby it’s because I’m a boy.
B O O M !!! The ground rumbled and shook. I jumped to my feet . A sickening feeling grew in my stomach. A warm breeze blew by. I ran towards the breeze. I ran into a small field and looked across it.
On the other side of the field a red light was lit, on the entire frontline of the forest a fire grew. Burning hot branches and smoldering leaves. The smoke went up like a mushroom.
A pain shrieked through me with a yelp. It burned. I looked up at the forest and it burned, too.
A branch fell. My leg went numb. Everything was blurry and dizzy. I slowly closed my eyes.
THE NEXT DAY...
I awoke in a lake. A cold one. The water was smooth and silky to the touch. I took a deep breath.
Everything around me went black.
A glowing light came from above me. A woman with blond hair started floating down. She was meditating with butiful plump lips and an elagent long flowing white and light blue dress. Her hair was floating around her head.
“You are home my friend.”
“But what ab-“
The ground rumbled.
