"She will kill me, kid...."
Sara blinked at him with an empty face. Letting down her protection meant the cat and mouse chase to start again. She was even afraid to mention her mother, fearing she might somehow locate her and come running--or more like teleporting.
"Mr Stein, listen. I know this isn't easy for you. And to be fair it is not my fault that you are somewhat of a fool-", she suddenly made a gesture of apology to a frustrated and now offended Jared. " I could have helped you. But I am in no position and you have to understand my situation too. The person who helped me with all this protective warding
passed away a while ago. I have no information regarding anyone else who can do it if I somehow manage to shut it off for a while to help you. I have my own issues which are pretty large to what you might assume. So please. I am really really sorry. I can only tell you a trick or two. you know!"
A trick. Or two. "Tell me three". Sara relaxed her shoulders a little and leaned on the balcony. Jared was focused at getting some way out of that deal he hadn't really made.
"There is always some way around with demons. They are very clever, but you can deal with them and confuse them. Also some warding can hold up nice till some time so you can use that too. I can show you some protective spells that I had used in the beginning but had to leave them as they hold for some days and you have to
keep re-doing them. But until you find another way, you can be protected". "Sounds fine to me. Tell me the procedure. And also maybe a little more insight into tricking them?!" "Yeah. Sure. you... uh you can come inside my place".
**** "Ey Seeri, what has a brain but is dumber than our superior?", Elvis shouted at a pissed off Serena drifting in the HQ corridor. She smiled a bit on the mention of their superior beside dumb. "Who?!" "Your dad" "Excuse me?!
Serena shot a strong glance at Elvis who was now sheepishly drifting beside her. "So, the story is going around that your dad made a deal with THE bitch to see you" "Who told you?" "Everybody knows man. He summoned her and begged her to see you and she dragged him into a deal obviously!"
Serena stopped instantly, puzzled. She knew her father was always the one with the theatrics but didn't know he would seriously go to summon a demon queen and strike a deal just to see her. 𝘎𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦, she thought. "What'cha gonna do Seeri?"
"I guess I'll talk to him" "And that deal he struck?!" "Well. It is his own headache. Pfftt". She did say it was his headache, but deep down she knew it would soon be her headache too.
