You were a beautiful soul, the moon and the sun,

Stranger

You were a beautiful soul,

the moon and the sun,

my joy and my pain all wrapped into one

You had eyes like the sky,

You were charming and sweet,

and when you looked at me,

my heart skipped a beat

I wanted to spend

forever with you

'till the stars disappeared

and the sky lost it's blue.

We walked the length of the school side by side,

You smiled at me,

and I could have cried,

then you took your cap off and put it on me,

saying,

"It matches your eyes, which look like the tide"

Afterward I knew you saw something in me,

and one afternoon,

we sat by a fruit tree,

and your friend said "You guys like each other?"

and I fluttered inside, and sparkled like glitter

and you said

"Yeah!"

She' s like a little sister!"

I came C R A S H I N G TO THE GROUND

and I said in a whisper

goodbye

as my heart screamed inside

and the butterflies died

Now when I roam the school, I feel so alone

my heart without a home,

and no one of my own

Now when I see your cap,

my whole world explodes softly

Cause my happiness was costly

once I person I loved

now a perfect stranger, you fly like a dove, a murder of crows, in shattering prose away from the person I used to call home
