Outsider

By Areeba Hussain

Mocking Laughs teasing and calling loner but family said this needs to stop sooner lonliness was by choice I was ruler of my will, I could spend my time happily writing with the quill

My world of words, paper and tomes happiness in reading fiction and mysteries solved by Holmes oh easy I never felt expressing myself this lonliness have trained me putting emotions to shelf

Now I am not forced to put up a fake smile no more pliant and docile even to see a stranger smiling at me aches my heart as deep down I know attachment is still my part

Now it might be a choice , being an outsider but earlier I was forcefully pushed in the corner after screaming many unheard cries now with how things are I contentfully sigh
