Haven’t done one of these in a bit:So, I’ve finished MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA up to 98% completion. I’ve got some tasks here and there that I’m trying to complete. Most of them involve searching planets for random things and scanning them, or giving them to Peebee, or stuff like that. I’ve enjoyed the game quite a bit.

Although I can see some of the merits of the critical reviews it was given, I still had a great experience playing through it. Now debating on what I want to tackle next.

I’ve heard good things about HORIZON: ZERO DAWN.

Work for me has ground to a halt, especially now that most of the things I work on have already - or are preparing to - wrap their seasons in the next few days.

Most of the work I’ve done for them was already delivered several weeks ago. I’m looking for some fun and challenging things to shoot or be a part of this summer.

Or I might just hunker down and finish work on the thing I’ve been working on for the past couple of years and see what happens.GOTG: Vol. 2 was a lot of fun.

There was a bit more exposition than the original that bogged it down in a few places, but looking back on it, I didn’t mind.

Some good character development and backstory was fleshed out, and each team member got their moment to shine with some nice emotional beats.

Whereas Groot was the standout for me in the original, Michael Rooker stole the show this time. His performance was excellent. I’ll definitely be seeing it again.

Being one of the few people on this earth who really dug PROMETHEUS (I know…sorry), I’m looking forward to ALIEN: COVENANT despite some of the negative buzz surrounding it.

On the music front, I’ve currently got Paramore’s new album on repeat. Its retro-80s vibe is hitting my eardrums at just the right frequency.

I want to go see David Bazan play at the Neptune this weekend, but I don’t think our schedule will allow it.

We’re still trying to get the hang of the spouse’s new work schedule, which is complicating all of the other things in our life.Things in general are still pretty crazy.

A lot of the stuff that was going on a couple of weeks ago is still presenting challenges. It’s tough.

But it’s even tougher seeing friends go through things and there’s not anything you can do to help them. Lot of that going on right now - even with friends on here.Today is my dad’s birthday.

He turns 69. Nice.
