NO THIS IS NOT JEREMY'S HOUSE!

by TinnieCupcake

My partner and i had just settled to go to sleep, about 3, or 4 am. either way very late/early.

Just as we were about to doze of to the land of nod we hear a jiggling of our front door handle.

It was immediate that we heard it being the way our unit at the time was set up.

the Bedroom door was directly right to the front door, so we could literally watch as the the door handle vigorously pulled up and down.

We lied there in shock, could this really be happening?

'What do we do?' Matt whispered, shaking obvious in his voice.

I being the braver one decided to go up to the door.

By this time the person REALLY wanted in, ripping the handle up and down, and bashing there body against the door, trying to break the lock free.

I start to get worried so i try to hold the handle on my side of the door and keep them from getting in.

'What do you want?' i yelled, obviously terrified.

'What? let me in Jeremy!' a womans voice yells back.

'No this is not Jeremy's house!'

'What are you on about let me in!' The woman starts to bang harder and push at the door with all her might.

'You have the wrong house! I'm Holly!' why did i say my name?

'Jeremy, stop being stupid and open the door!'

'You have the wrong house!'

'No i dont! i have been here before!'

'Please leave!'

by this time we are frantically trying have the upper hand, me trying to hold the door closed, and her trying to pull the door apart.

For a while this goes on, and it feels like forever trying to keep her out, although i think it may have been only a couple of minutes. (thank god for solid wood doors am i right?)

i do end up looking through the peephole and shes just a short thin framed woman, and all i can think is...

how is that possible?

i am massive and could barely keep her from blasting through the door and she didn't seem to run out of energy, still screaming like she knows me and she needed to be let in.

Finally, she stops, and i watch through the peephole.

she walks to the end of our balcony/front door entry thing and stands there, watching the door, like she was still expecting me to let her in with open arms and cookies or something.

i dont know how long i watched her stand there in the dark silence.

She yells 'God dammit, Jeremy!' and then walks down the complex stairs.

We call the police and they come after about 10 minutes of me barely blinking and staring through the peephole, as Matt watches through the windows in case she tried those.

The police look around, barely, and ask the usual questions but seem disinterested. this place is known for how bad it is, and is community housing so they're always there.

'What did she look like?'

'I don't know, it's pitch black out here.'

'What was she wearing?'

'I don't know, it's pitch black out here.'

'Well is there anything you can say about how she looked?'

'Yes, she was short and thin.'

The copper looks at my large, tall frame and kind of sighs.

'She had long frizzy hair too!' i recited.

'Yeah, ok. We will have a look around, but it was probably just a mistaken address.'

they left me dissatisfied. She definitely wanted in and didn't care who i was.

We were left afraid when the police just waved their silly torches and then left immediately.

I dont know what she was doing, and if she was really just trying to strangely reach a friend, but that was one of the scariest moments i had with another person.

we assume she tried breaking in, and tried to make a story up but who knows.
