We all know all the usual stories. Let's share stories of things that made your day a bit easier!
I'm a part-time associate manager at a theatre. Yesterday, I was taking my good ol' time doing counting stock during our last set when I get a radio call from box.
My boss didn't respond to our box person's request for a supervisor, so I decided to head out, expecting the worst (as usual).
I walked up and was greeted by a couple of customers asking if we had any extra one-sheets for a new film that had been released yesterday.
Typically, I turn away poster beggers asap with some kind of fluff or lie, but these people seemed nice enough so instead of saying no, I thought about it for a second.
The woman then told me that she had worked on the film. This combined with the fact that they asked nicely was enough for me to let this one slip.
I grabbed the one-sheet of the film she worked on set for, and it actually made her day. I shook their hands, and the woman showed me pictures of her on set of the film.
This whole experience caught me off guard because I had been so dead inside this entire month due to work and school that I forgot that making a decent stranger's day isn't a bad idea once in
