A little story of a good moment with a bad customer.

I'm a manager at National Red Shirt Theatre Chain and the majority of my time is spent in the concession stand.

I was stocking up cups when I hear behind me a woman asks one of my cashiers for a hot dog. Now, this is a weekday so we only put a few hot dogs on the grill at a time.

If it gets busy out of nowhere, we end up selling more and have to make them in the back.

Since I hear this and know we're waiting on them from the grill and the kitchen is working on a couple small orders I tell her about the situation and inform her that it would be

a 5-7 minute wait on a hot dog. She huffs and says "So are you going to compensate me with something for free? Because all the stuff I've asked for isn't here."

Now, I'm going to be honest. I don't give a fuck. The Army Reserve could hook me up with another job for a similar or better wage easily, so I don't really like dealing with assholes.

I just like free movies and working with my friends. I just look at her and ask "I didn't deny you anything, I informed you of a wait.

What have you even asked for besides a hot dog" She huffs again and stutters out "Well I mean, what did I ask for first, uh, I asked for a hot dog and, uh, well nevermind.

" I just walked away with a smile.
