Home, it isn't always a place.

Home

Home

Not four walls and a ceiling

But two arms, a heart beat and a feeling

A smile so warm, all my stress doesn't stand a chance

Eyes so beautiful, like pools of honey that make sunlight dance

Home

Two people, woven together with a golden thread

Split at the seem

Destined to a lifelong quest of finding the other half of a unit, a team

Home

Has a language of its own

One without any rules carved in stone

A lingering gaze across a crowded rooms

Stolen kisses that'll sweep you right off like a broom

A language that words fail to measure

Home

Is acceptance

Of not just the pretty

But the ugly, the strange and the petty

A judgement

not of our individual pieces but the bigger picture

Home

Where comfort resides

In sickness and in health

In adversity and in wealth

A haven that has an additional e

A place that starts with I and ends with we

Home

Where there is a you, and a me.
