Inspired by the words of Maya Angelou

by amyleepassmore

Alone in my bedroom, Pills by my side, I fight the urge to take them, So, with time, I rise.

Sticking inside my head, the thoughts I always dread, It's hard to fight the cries, But again, I'll rise.

Screaming inside my mind, The voices turn to cries, Fighting for control, But I push against them, And I rise.

His abuse remains fresh by my side, But like the inevitability of the tide, I will rise.

Although my laughter may turn to cries, I will heed your advice, And rise.

With the words of Maya Angelou, Creeping up my sides, I will take this opportunity, To be like dust and rise. Chat Conversation End
