Inner fears

by ameagami

No where to run No where to hide From inner fears

My inner fears

Painted life black in it's darkest shades Their sharp fangs and claws directed at me Screaming threats and promising me Only the worst awaiting me For failure and misery Are my destiny

Sadly I'm fully aware That my inner fears only exist in my own brain Yet for so many years they've been dominating me Which made me wonder How am I suppose to fight what I'm so terrified to face

We all have our own way of fighting those fears and as long as we are fighting we are winning fear can only win if we stop fighting Great piece

Fight those fears by long-term psychotherapy and a balanced approach to medication. This was beautifully written. Does writing help with a catharsis? Your writing abilities are far above your assessment of self in this poem. Great poem!!!
