Inner Beauty

And the night turned into day

As she sat on the edge of the pier

Watching the sun rise and reflect on the ocean.

Her eyes welled up with tears

And her red lips turn up into a smile.

She could only wish that she held as much natural beauty

As this gorgeous phenomenon,

But alas,

She didn't know that she did.

Her soul was white and pure,

Her face was like that of an angel,

Her hair fell in silky satin curls,

Her skin soft and smooth.

Her hands, always reaching out to help others,

Her smile brightening every room,

And her laughter like a melodic cadence by which every person

Is entranced.
