Stars are fanned across the midnight sky
As the moon creates a light that cast shadows across the meadow.
She walks along the dirt path,
Arms spread as if she were flying
Fingers lightly brushing the tall wheat grasses
And her long brown locks blowing in the gentle breeze.
He walks alongside her, fingers now lightly touching hers.
He tries to find the right words to say,
But he is realizing that there are no words to describe her,
How perfect and simple and beautiful, inside and out,
She really is.
She is deep and complex, the most abstract girl.
She is so unique and strong, wearing her heart on her sleeve.
She doesn't hide her scars, instead leaving them open for the world to see.
She doesn't let anyone break her because she knows she is better than that, and
Much stronger than she once was.
She is not afraid to face danger and hate, for deep down she knows she's loved.
And as they sit on the cliff, watching the moon rise over that vast lake,
And as her head rests on his shoulder, he feels it.
Everything she had held in,
Everything she had endured,
He now knew her, truly, inside and out.
And he rests his head on top of hers and intertwines their fingers.
Two people becoming one in trust, understanding, and love.
Two people witnessing the beauty of the night
And how the moon and the stars mingle endlessly.
And they know,
That their lives, and their hearts,
Are hopelessly intertwined.
