After coming out of a very dark time, the wanderer searched for meaning in his life.
He tried a lot of things, longed to re-discover the joy he once felt doing certain things.
But he couldn't.
So he wandered in search of something to devote his life to.
He walked to the highest mountain and asked a wise man.
But his meaning was not to be found in solitude and contemplation.
He walked to the bottom of the sea and asked the creatures and gods of the water.
But his meaning was not to be found among the playful and joyful.
Then he came to a little town, where a young girl sat on the shore of a nearby lake.
She attempted to fish, but so far hadn't caught anything.
So he sat down and taught her some tricks for catching fish.
And together they caught something.
When the wanderer looked into her eyes and saw the joy there he felt it.
He knew where his meaning was to be found.
And with that he knew what his meaning was.
His meaning was to be found among the ones who yearned to know.
For knowledge is one of those things which can be given without taking something from the giver.
And so his heart began to sing a song.
And where he came he taught, learned and told stories.
For what is there to know but true things and the wisdom that resides in tales?
And so his heart began to sing.
A song of life.
