The lonely masquerade waltz

by aloner

Masked figures fill the room

No mask knows another

Some are socializing, some are dancing

Dancing a waltz

Gracefully gliding across the floor

They seem to be dancing with others

They dance with one another until they move to the next

Before the masked figures realize it

Masks are dancing by themselves

Stepping gracefully to their own rhythm

They call it

the lonely masquerade waltz.

You wrote an ethereally beautiful poem. I love it. Your verses fit together like notes from a symphony. This was a perfectly polished piece. Great job!!!!!!!!!!
