The day we met

You were so full of life and light

You carried the energy of the universe in your gaze

Until one day, when I wasn't looking, the stars started to fade

One by one

Until barely any remained

It got harder for you to say you loved me

The words caught in your mouth more each day

Until one day you said it for the very last time
