My best friend who betrayed me is on my campus today.

Plastic

Prose by adelinefecker

I saw you today.

You looked fake

You looked plastic

How did I ever love someone

So cold

I want to love someone real

Someone who is made of sweat, tears, blood, someone who has struggled and admits it.

I want someone to inspire strength in me.

I don't want you.

Who are you now?

Not my best friend.

No. She was a ghost

that I made friends with when you invited me over.

You happened to look alike

so I must have gotten confused

This is so heart-wrenching, something about it is so relatable, that it makes you sad. I really loved this, excellent work!

You call this prose? It was so melodic and lyrical that I would call it free verse. I loved it. Greatest revenge I could think of. Good work!!!!
