A love poem <3

Choice

A love poem by adelinefecker

She chose him because

his eyes reminded her of maple syrup on sunday mornings

She chose him because

his voice reminded her of rain hitting the city pavement

She chose him because

his mind reminded her of a temple Indiana Jones would discover

She chose him because

his laughter was like an earthquake that reformed her walls

She chose to let him infect her

day by day and said nothing While he chose someone else

@stridder75 very true! Over time I was able to find peace but at first it was hard.

I definetly know how it is to fall for someone only to be sitting on the sidelines as life passes by. The ripping feeling of seeing them form possible relationships with other people, because it's not you. But if they're happy, the sense of peace that at least one of you can walk away with love.

Great twist at the end. It is so sensitive and hopeful. On the lkast sentence you unload the cannon on the reader. Great job. There is a great flow and rhythm. The words were obvioustly precisely chosen to help the ending. Great job.
