The wind rushes through my fingers, It’s cold, like my body.

Silence

The wind rushes through my fingers,

It’s cold, like my body.

The fire warms the air, the silent autumn breeze,

It stings, like the pain.

The birds sing the tune,

The same tune, the same words,

The same words,

That cut my skin.

The trees tower over me,

They stare down at me,

They make the faces,

The ones you made.

They cover up the sky,

They make the world dark,

They take away the brightness,

But unlike you, the trees never hurt me.

Until now,

Because when I take my step off,

My body will hang,

And there will be silence.
