Cutting open my chest digging around Trying to find pieces of what's still left

Promises

Cutting open my chest, digging around

Trying to find pieces of what's still left.

Only remnants and memories,

What did you take and keep for yourself? Can i ever have it back?

Maybe it was never yours to hold.

We rent out the empty spaces hoping they can always be filled.

Still all we love we leave behind, All we love is temporary.

Now that our sun has burned out what will the ashes do? Rebuild take shape into something new

If I can find these parts I swear I'll give them to the world,

In hopes that someday I can follow through,

On promises once meant for you.
