Today in Croatia we remember a day when city that was sign of resistance in war had fallen. It happened on 18th November 1991 during Croatian war of Independence. It was predicted it will take three days to conquer, but the city had stood for full three months.

This topic still haunts many people because they had lost their families and many of them never found remains of their loved ones. Luckily, today the city is part of Croatia, but the war have left scars that cannot heal. Personally, I wasn't even born then, but the consequences I see even today are terrible.
