Sometimes it feels like it would be easier to not exist.

Condensation on the bathroom wall

Almost midnight.

As I tried to force myself

As I tried to force myself Out of the bath and into bed, I realised,

As I tried to force myself Out of the bath and into bed, I realised, I didn't want to.

Ever.

Instead,

I wished every memory I'd ever had,

I wished every memory I'd ever had, Along with every thought in my head,

I wished every memory I'd ever had, Along with every thought in my head, Would evaporate away into steam.

My body would melt into liquid,

My body would melt into liquid, And become indistinguishable from bath water.

And then it would slip away,

And then it would slip away, Down the drain and out,

And then it would slip away, Down the drain and out, Where I'd becomes droplets in an ocean.

The only trace left of me,

The only trace left of me, Would be the condensation on the bathroom wall,

The only trace left of me, Would be the condensation on the bathroom wall, And my empty cup of tea.
