There is a debate on schools imparting conventional education for years rather than the idea to educate on employable skills to students. Let us look in the nooks and crannies of the subject.
Well, it is quite evident that the present system of education in schools that covers almost every subjects and languages has been proved to be a burden on young minds. It only produces book worms, who are rat racing in competition. This results in poor health, lack of job readiness or below average performance as they grow.
Although the system claims that since students are too young for vocational trainings, learning about the past in History or Social Science will prepare them to make better decisions later in life.
It is also said that the traditional educational system gives students, a chance to discover their hidden interests in diverse fields.
In my opinion a better education will be the one, which balances learning of History, Arts or Literature with a link to the solutions for daily problems. Also it should educate what incidences in the past sparked a need for innovation and how It was implemented in practical. A modern approach to the traditional courses can do miracles. The growing popularity of Yoga, Karate and fine arts among students are common indicators.
