I thought of myself as a boy today Alone in the playground

Remember the Spring

I thought of myself as a boy today

Alone in the playground

Tucked inside of myself

So fragile and gentle I was

I hope the fall leaves cherish their spring days

Recalling the first sun when they blossomed

Clutching strong onto their branches until the day comes when they have to let go

Swaying in the crisp air as they fall to the earth

I know the effort to reach my youth would be in vein

If only time permitted a visit every once in awhile

But I'm here still, hanging on to that branch

Still quite some time here before autumn
