Today I discovered something Along the beaches Of an ocean I never saw before.
I woke up on the soft sand Listening to seagulls And the ocean swells
The warm sun was kind to me And for once I felt something Other than apathy.
I walked along the sand My footprints the last Thing I wanted to leave behind
Seashells glisten in the sun Remnants of life from A world underwater Ripe with color beneath the waves.
I watched a turtle Cross my path An ancient creature it was Going back to sea again.
It was then as I stood Interacting with the ocean Allowing it to overcome my senses I discovered my will to live again
I regret it now Allowing the ocean To swallow me whole...
For all I want now Is to just be here again.
