Simone Young stared at Liam Danialson with his brown locks and dark freckles that scattered his face like a canvas. This was the Liam that she's been crushing on since grade 4.
She was shocked. He had just asked her to hangout.
This was the same Liam that had barely noticed her before, they talked a couple times in math and english, but only for homework or to borrow a pencil.
Today was finally the day things would start to change. Liam was only 17, just a year older than her. She tried to search for words, but all that came out was a choked cough.
Simone nodded and smiled brightly like a child. She didn't bother texting her father where she was going. He'd know she was just hanging out with a friend.
They walked out the school doors and Liam led Simone to the bridge near town.
"This is my favorite hangout spot." He smiled gently.
"Because you can see everything in this small city from here."
"No you can't." Her laugh echoed sweetly as he jumped up on the ledge.
"What are you doing!" She shouted worriedly.
"The views better up here." He looked out into the distance like he was in a music scene. God he's hot she thought. The wind blew through his hair like an ocean wave.
He held out his hand for her and she took it with a shaky hand.
"Ah, I'm so scared of heights." When she looked over to Liam's face a tear rolled down his cheek and his happy smile disappeared.
She took his hand, "Liam, what's wrong?" Simone searched his eyes for a clue or hint.
"I'm so sorry, Simone..." Tears were falling from his eyes now.
"You're okay, you're okay Liam." He put a hand on her chest and pushed her. Simone screamed as she fell for her death.
