Blood Lust (Chapter 5)

I slowly crawled back to my front door of my dorm. My heart was beating faster with each second. My thoughts were jumbled in a mess. The same question came back over and over.

I slowly crawled back to my front door of my dorm. My heart was beating faster with each second. My thoughts were jumbled in a mess. The same question came back over and over. were they back?

They couldn't be back. It was impossible. They were extinct for over a millennium.

They couldn't be back. It was impossible. They were extinct for over a millennium...right?

They couldn't be back. It was impossible. They were extinct for over a millennium...right? I quickly went towards the door and opened it, to see Axel standing there. "Luna? You look..." I stared at him. "Yes, messy whatever just get in here." I told him looking over his shoulder to see if anyone was outside.

I quickly dragged Axel inside my dorm. "Luna, you know we're going to get in trouble if they find out I'm here right?" He stared at me sheepishly, with a cocky grin, while sweeping his hair to the side. "Who cares, We need to talk." I told him cautiously.

"About what?" Axel quickly jumped onto my bed and picked up the book and carefully glided through the pages. "Axel...They're back." I hadn't realized my voice was stuttering until he quickly dropped the book down and stared at me. "What are you talking about?"

He stared at me. Axel knew what I was talking about but for some reason he didn't want to believe me. "Axel...

He stared at me. Axel knew what I was talking about but for some reason he didn't want to believe me. "Axel...The werewolves are-" My sentence was cut off completely with Axel's voice. "Luna, Why would you believe that shit? They aren't back. They've been dead."

He shook his head with a scornful look on his face. "I heard them.." "When was that?" "Right before you came..." Axel sighed. "Let's talk about this later, for now we need to get ready for the blood moon tomorrow."

Axel quickly got off the bed and gave me a light kiss on the head. "I'll stay with you tonight just in case." I stared at him. "No it's okay, I'll be fine. Just go." What did Axel think of me? A tiny girl afraid of a sudden noise?

He quickly hugged me, and ran out the door. I sighed, packing my stuff and putting it in a small suitcase for tomorrow's trip. We were going to the base camp tomorrow at about 6 pm before the blood moon rose. I stared at my ceiling, some sunlight was starting to show through.

"Luna! Wake up." I woke up wondering who had called my name. I squinted my eyes, shutting from the late afternoon sun. I stared at a pretty brunette. "Oh, uh, hi." I stared at her. "Hi, You must be Axel's bestfriend, he told me to wake you up." I smiled lightly.

After about 30 minutes from getting ready, I noticed the pretty brunette waited for me. "Are you ready?" She smiled. I nodded grabbing my suitcase. We walked down the Hallway where I was greeted by Axel and his friends. "Thanks Julia!" He smiled his usual impish grin. She nodded at him.

Axel quickly introduced me to his group of friends. The pretty brunette was Julia, she was one of Axel's best friends since he had gotten here. Another guy was Axel's buddy, his name was Scott, he was pretty cute with his blonde hair and blue ocean eyes.

And Scott's boyfriend was James, they were yes, gay. They were a pretty good couple. Another girl standing by Julia was Lora. She was a red head with a bit of a curious george. "Hi, You must be Luna, the one Axel keeps talking about and wondering how you were marked." She offered me a hand and I shook it.

"Anyways, how were you marked-" Lora was cut off by a kid's snort. And there by the corner was that silver haired girl I had seen earlier. "She's marked by Damian honey, haven't you smelled his scent on her?" She smirked. Axel stared at me. "Wait what?" I was shocked.

"Luna, you didn't know that Damien marked you?" Axel said slowly. I shook my head. I didn't know it until my tears were soaking my whole face. Axel told the rest of the group to go and wait by the cars. He wiped my tears away and hugged me. Axel mutter something under his breath.

I quickly pushed Axel away, looking away from his gaze. "Luna-" He started. "I don't know how okay? One day I'm staring at the sky and my mom telling me to head over here." I told him quietly. "Your mark does smell like Damien but something doesn't fit with the mark." Axel said straight fowardly.

"What do you mean?" I asked him. "His mark doesn't match yours. And yet you have his smell." He told me quietly. "Axel! The cars are here!" A distant voice called out. "We'll figure it out on the way" He quickly grabbed my hand and smiled. But I knew his smile was fake.

We loaded our stuff in the car, and I had found out the car with Axel and his friend was supposedly full. I sighed as the last car came up and I sat down. I was the only one in that car. The ride went smoothly for about a guessing of 20 minutes, until the car stopped because of a flat tire.

The driver stopped, and went outside to look what had happened. 10 minutes passed.

The driver stopped, and went outside to look what had happened. 10 minutes passed. 20 minutes passed. And then 30 minutes passed. I became impatient, and opened the door.

I peeked my head out of the door to see the driver. But he wasn’t there. “Hello? Are you here?” I quickly walked around the car. I screamed.

The driver’s throat was ripped out in a disgustingly messy way. I looked around trying, wishing I hadn’t screamed. A rustle from the forest was coming from everywhere. Then I suddenly heard a growl behind my back.

My natural instinct was to R U N. I quickly ran towards the forest, with the cringing sound of the leaves beneath my feet. After running for a long time, I was out of breath. There was no where for me to hide. Except amongst the trees.

I slowed my breathing down afraid of making the slightest noise. Then I heard the crinkle of the leaves behind me.

I screamed. I couldn’t process what I was seeing there. In front of me was Damien.

I screamed. I couldn’t process what I was seeing there. In front of me was Damien. Instead of 2 fangs and a blood thirsty eye, He had 2 ears and a tail completed with a legal blue stare.
