There was a blinding light. But everywhere else around him was darkness. Frank looked around him. So this was what death was like. He started to walk towards the brightness.
And then he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Castle." Said a soothing voice. "Do not go yet." Frank turned around to see a woman in a robe. "And who are you?"
"I, am Death." She said, taking off her hood. She was beautiful, considering she was the embodiment of Death. "Your time has come too early, Frank. There is more on Earth for you to do."
"I've done my piece. Besides Thanos is too powerful. He's probably already killed my friends." Frank said hanging his head. Death put a hand on his chin, and lifted it.
"You are capable of more than you know." She cooed.
Suddenly she leaned in and kissed Frank. As she did, the darkness around began to fill with stars, and the bright light began to glow more intensely.
As the real world began melting back into his surroundings, Death began to fade away. "Remember this, Castle. Your foe is not what you think. The child is the key...."
As she disappeared entirely, Frank felt himself lifted. In fact, he was BEING lifted. "Trying to take the easy way out?" Thanos growled as he held Frank by the throat.
"How...." Frank managed to groan. "The soul stone. I used it to bring your pathetic mortal self back to life. Now tell me... Why did you believe you could ever best me?" Thanos asked.
"Because...." Frank choked out. "You.. aren't.... THANOS!" He yelled in rage as he elbowed the air behind him. Thanos dropped Frank as he clutched his gut.
The Punisher reached for a rock behind him which had just fallen and picked it up. "Nooooo!!!" Screamed the Mad Titan as he and the rock transformed to reveal their true identity.
In his hands Castle held a scepter. And as he turned around to his now kneeling opponent he had one thing on his mind.
"You're going to tell me where Arcade is right now...."
