Orphans
There is a million kids who grew up this way.
We were told that we would always be lonely.
We were would never accomplish anything.
We were nothing more than a piece of trash.
We grew up believing no one would fall in love.
Waiting
I waited in the rain you but you never showed.
I called and you said you'd be right there.
I was beaten and hurt.
Bleeding in middle of the road.
You said you'd be there in five minutes.
You showed in two hours,
with my abusive dad.
Losing a friend to suicide is hard at six
Learning to move on is harder.
Blaming yourself is the easiest thing to do.
I was stuck for so long, not now.
I learned life is not always in your favor.
