Preyed Upon
Dark and cold,
This cage I am trapped in.
It offers no comfort
To ease my ailing mind.
Hungry and desperate,
I run through the maze
Seeking solace and
Finding none.
The girl stood silently
Amongst a flurry of lights,
Contemplating her
Eternal yet ephemeral
Existence in a cloudy world
With no end in sight,
Beneath the sky
Of a thousand constellations.
Faces pass by her,
Some blurred yet others
Clear as day,
With...
I wish I was free.
But freedom was an ambiguity for me.
Trapped in a cage with no walls
I had nowhere to fly to.
Sinking into the never ending grey
A wasteland of forgotten memories,
