Turn Your Poem Into A Short Film Story Contest

Fire & Spunk Productions presents a unique opportunity for storytellers and poets. Following the success of Beverly Tan’s “The Last Line” and it’s international tour, Fire & Spunk Productions specializes in experimental narrative. We are looking for a poem to adapt into a short film to add to our lineup to be directed and produced by award-winning filmmaker Beverly Tan.

July 11th 2017, 12:25 pm ~ September 10th 2017, 12:00 am (your time zone)

Rules:

What we are looking for:
  • Shootability (Giant robots and grand car chases aren’t the easiest things to do)
  • Artistry
  • Style matching- We are very visual and I tend to work with a lot of closeups and 1-3 minutes long.
Keep in mind that we are a small boutique production and are going for emotion and simplicity. We're looking for something that speaks to us emotionally and visually

Prizes

The winning poem will be adapted into a short film!

Fire & Spunk Productions (http://FireAndSpunk.com) and Beverly Tan reserve rights to adapt awarded content to their creative discretion. Writer credit in the form of “Based on the poem by” will be given to the author. The author will have the opportunity to be in contact with production throughout the process and will be notified of any awards and laurels.

This project will not be sold. It will be entered into the festival circuit and then released online to the public once it’s premiere status has ended.
