Some writers aren’t interested in creating stories set in a different reality or time period, so they invest their creative juices and energy in writing realistic fiction.

Realistic fiction, also known as contemporary fiction or contemporary realistic fiction, is a genre that usually depicts ordinary people going about their daily life while experiencing normal emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, and excitement.
