A poem about insomnia. It's a battle in my bedroom every night. I was trying to go back to sleep this morning, but I started writing this in my head instead...so....here we are.
The weird shadowy figures I used to see in my worse state of mind. Strangers to me. From the strange side of the universe.
Depression is an invisible monster with the power to destroy.
SlowlySlowlySlowlyILoseMyBreathAsISpeakMuchTooFastButMyHeartIsBreakingAndICannotStop-
A bullet that never wounded me,
nor hit me hard like a wall.
Instead it aimed for my companion,
so it was fate that brought us here now.
