This was something I had been tinkering with for a while. The prompt “effect” helped me finish it.
...and switch from an existence
that's been simplified
by a body that's reluctant
to sink into the drudgery.
Disaster can be calming like a rolling pin coming to flatten out all the concerns that you thought were important
March 22nd writing challenge. Quite possibly the most personal thing I've ever written. It made me incredibly uncomfortable writing it, I hope you're more comfortable reading it.
