16th century Elizbethan poetry inspired this one, albeit with a modern twist.

Mistress Of Sand

And yet I stay And yet I stay

A blessing born of spring and sweet grass

A halo of silver From the summer stars

And yet I know And yet I know

All peace is vanity A hurried reprieve From your shallow sins

And all that is dark And all that is best

Rises in the pieces Of your eyes

And yet I see And yet I see

The betrayal of a thousand whispers stretching out

Into edges marked with salt and silence

You were the king Of all within your vision

Never knowing In the night You were blind -Zoe1157
