Empty rooms where shadows dance wild,
And rhythm is the silence of agony;
I have been there broken, once
Where light is just a fantasy.
The kisses of cold, unwanted words,
And the hugs of pain, the only cape;
I have bathed in acid, drowned in vain
When life just seemed an idiocy.
I have been friends with dusted floor,
And threatened by the old cold;
Cloaked by the lies and fear
When warmth was just a reverie.
I have seen the dark playing about me
And the void inside me deep;
But lucky to see the black and red too deep
When all the others faded away.
