A battle between soul and mind.

Soul's War

Righteousness

calls out among the masses

To see whom, in even weak voice, will respond.

Silence

returns in lonely waves.

Righteousness

cries out in pain at the void

That once held his treasured children.

Laughter

resounds in mocking blows.

Righteousness

resolves to show his lost

The crisis of meaning their folly insures.

Hate

compounds in cataract form.

Righteousness

first commands the heavens

To enact a siege of absolute darkness.

Apathy

precedes darkness with blindness.

Righteousness

turns to the earth

And orders an attack by way of elements.

Nihilism

embraces the pain with self-loathing.

Righteousness

comes with final assault

That lays itself bare, in full form, to the soul.

Insecurity

engulfs the remnant relentlessly.

Righteousness

dismantles the proud with the sun

And brings the humble up to match his light.

Harmony

sings in beauty of understood fragility.

On pastures of grace the treasured set roots anew;

with the purpose to truly establish life.
